Community Rules
Our community
Altersive is a space for creation, communication, sharing and roleplay (RP). Every user must be able to participate without experiencing harassment, intimidation, threats or invasions of privacy. These rules apply to profiles, posts, stories, comments, ASK questions, private messages, group conversations and RP spaces.
Respect and harassment
The following are prohibited: * Repeated insults intended to humiliate or intimidate a person. * Individual or collective harassment. * Denigration campaigns and coordinated attacks. * Encouraging harassment, threats or abusive exclusion of a person. * Death threats or threats of physical or sexual violence. * Discriminatory or hateful conduct targeting protected characteristics. * Circumventing a block to continue unwanted interactions. Disagreements, respectful criticism and fictional conflicts between characters do not automatically constitute harassment. Context and actual conduct are taken into account.
Protection of privacy
Publishing, transmitting or threatening to disclose others' personal information without authorization or legitimate justification is prohibited. This includes, in particular, home addresses, phone numbers, identity documents, private location information and confidential conversations. Threatening to reveal a person's real identity, other profiles or personal information to obtain something from them is also prohibited.
Protection of minors
Altersive is restricted to users aged 16 and over. The following are strictly prohibited: * Sexual exploitation of minors. * Sexual solicitation and grooming. * Images, videos, texts or depictions sexualizing minors. * Attempts to obtain intimate images of minors. * Sharing child sexual abuse material. These prohibitions also apply to fictional content or content presented as RP.
Sexual and violent content
Explicit pornographic images and videos are prohibited on Altersive, including in private spaces. Explicit sexual descriptions are prohibited in all spaces, including private conversations and RP. Sexual scenarios involving minors are prohibited. Content glorifying real violence, credible threats or non-consensual sexual violence is not permitted.
Content generated by artificial intelligence
Altersive prohibits visual content generated by artificial intelligence. This prohibition includes, in particular: * Avatars and profile photos. * Banners. * Published images and videos. * Stories. * Images and videos shared in private messages or RP. Altersive seeks to encourage respect for the work of photographers, illustrators, artists and other creators. An image will not automatically be considered AI-generated simply because it has a particular style. Reports must be reviewed carefully. No infallible automated detector is presumed to exist. This prohibition also includes AI-assisted photographic retouching.
Respect for creative work
You must respect copyright and image rights. Taking another person's texts, photos, illustrations or creations and claiming to be their author is prohibited. Naming an artist does not replace permission when permission is necessary. The official faceclaim rules apply to all depictions of RP characters.
RP and fictional characters
RP is a creative activity, but it must not be used to justify real abuse. Users must distinguish interactions between characters from interactions between real people. The following are prohibited: * Using a character to make real threats against someone. * Pursuing a person who has clearly asked for an interaction to stop. * Misusing information obtained outside RP to intimidate a user. * Impersonating a real person or pretending to be the administration. Participants' boundaries and consent must be respected.
Spam, fraud and manipulation
Scams, malicious links, account theft attempts, spam and abusive solicitation are prohibited. Creating multiple profiles to circumvent a sanction, manipulate interactions or harass a person is prohibited. Knowingly false reports submitted to harm someone may also constitute a violation of the rules. A report made in good faith will not be considered abusive simply because it does not lead to a sanction.
Reports and sanctions
If you observe conduct contrary to the rules, you can use the available reporting tools. Altersive reviews reports according to their nature, seriousness and accessible information. Measures may include removing content or suspending an account. Other measures may be applied when they become technically available. Repeated violations and the seriousness of conduct may influence the decision.
Urgent situations
In the event of immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services. Altersive reports are not an emergency service and do not guarantee immediate intervention.
Changes to the rules
These rules may evolve to better protect the community and take new features into account. Significant changes will be communicated appropriately. Contact: scribalter@hotmail.com
Usernames and public content: moderation guidance
Insulting, degrading, discriminatory usernames or usernames intended to harass someone are not allowed. Sexually explicit content and sexual solicitation are not permitted in Altersive’s public spaces. Non-explicit romantic, artistic and RP content remains welcome.
This applies to handles, display names, villa and community project names, and public biographies, posts, Rants, stories, comments, ASK answers and public notes where available. A single word does not establish a violation: context matters. Use the Sexual content, Harassment, Hate speech or Inappropriate username report categories. Ambiguous cases receive human review. Private conversations are not systematically scanned.
To appeal a username refusal, use the moderation contact below and provide the proposed name and its context, without passwords or private content. A human review may confirm the refusal or lead to a filter correction. It does not grant an automatic bypass. Existing profiles receive an official warning allowing seven days by default from its first consultation to correct the issue. Receiving a notification or signing in does not count as consultation. An unread warning after 30 days is flagged for administrative review without an automatic sanction. Only administration can close it after review.
