Moderation and Reporting Policy
Purpose
Altersive provides ways to report content and conduct that may violate its rules. Moderation aims to protect users, review reported situations and take proportionate measures when justified. Altersive is currently administered by one person. No permanent moderation service available 24 hours a day is guaranteed.
Who can report?
Any user, including a beta tester, can report content or conduct to which they have access. You do not have to be personally affected by the conduct. Depending on available features, reports may concern: * A profile or conduct. * A post or story. * A comment. * An ASK question or answer. * A message or conversation. * Use of a prohibited faceclaim.
Reasons for reporting
Categories include, in particular: * Harassment or intimidation. * Threats and violence. * Invasion of privacy or disclosure of personal information. * Impersonation. * Prohibited faceclaim. * AI-generated visual content. * Sexual or inappropriate content. * Fraud or spam. * Other violation of the rules. The selected category helps explain the issue, but does not automatically determine the decision.
Information submitted
A report may contain an explanation, references to the content concerned and up to five supporting HTTPS links, depending on the form's capabilities. Altersive may retain a limited excerpt of content accessible at the time of reporting, technical identifiers and information needed for review. Submitted links are not necessarily downloaded or archived. Users are advised not to submit sensitive information about third parties unnecessarily.
Confidentiality of reports
Internal files are accessible only to people with the necessary administrative authorizations. In the current configuration, their review is restricted to the authorized owner account. Community badges and beta-tester status do not confer any moderation powers. The reporting person's identity and explanations are not disclosed to the reported person in the ordinary course of review. This confidentiality remains subject to legally required disclosures.
Review of situations
Reports are reviewed according to available information and the seriousness of the facts. Multiple reports about the same content do not automatically prove a violation. Altersive may take into account: * The reported content. * Accessible and relevant context. * Repeated conduct. * Seriousness and potential risks. * Available explanations or supporting information. No sanction is automatic and no specific processing time is guaranteed.
Moderation measures
Following review and depending on the seriousness of the facts, the authorized administration may record a warning, remove a post, story, comment or message supported by the moderation tools, suspend or ban an account, or restore its access following review. Suspension and banning apply to the main account and all its associated profiles; they do not automatically delete all content. Decisions are recorded with an internal reason and, for sanctions, a reason intended for the person concerned. No automated detector, automatic suspension duration or customized restriction by feature is announced. Management of the official faceclaims list is governed by its specific rules.
Blocking users
The available block applies between the blocking profile and the targeted profile. It restricts supported access and interactions between these two profiles and removes their mutual follows and follow requests. It does not automatically block every other profile of the same account or delete messages already exchanged. Blocking does not guarantee that all content is invisible in shared spaces and does not replace a report. Circumventing a block with another profile remains prohibited by the Community Rules.
Review of a decision
A person affected by a moderation decision can request its review by writing to: scribalter@hotmail.com The request should identify the account or profile concerned, the contested decision and information useful for its review. A review does not guarantee reversal of the decision. Altersive may request additional information reasonably necessary to identify the situation.
Abusive reports
Reports made in good faith are encouraged. However, knowingly false, coordinated or repeated reports submitted solely to harm a person may lead to moderation measures. The mere fact that a report is dismissed does not mean it was abusive.
Serious threats and protection of minors
Once it becomes aware of them, the administration prioritizes reports presenting a risk to a minor, a credible threat of violence or a serious invasion of privacy. It assesses accessible information and may remove content supported by the moderation tools or suspend the account concerned. In the event of immediate danger, users must contact the emergency services where they are located directly, without waiting for a response from Altersive. When justified by the situation or required by law, the administration discloses the necessary information it holds to the competent authorities. Altersive does not provide an emergency service, continuous monitoring or automatic referral to authorities; no immediate intervention time is guaranteed.
Retention of files
Report files may contain identifiers, excerpts, links, dates, reasons and decisions. Access is restricted to authorized persons. Retention is limited to what is necessary to review the report, handle a request for review, follow up on a sanction still in force or comply with a legal obligation. The administration manually reassesses this necessity when the file is closed, when a review takes place and when the sanction ends. Information that is no longer needed is deleted through administrative intervention; no automatic purge on a fixed schedule is currently provided. Deleting a profile or account may delete a file without a decision or erase references and submitted information while retaining a history of decisions. Altersive does not guarantee full preservation of evidence after deletion. Reported links and media do not constitute a guaranteed independent archive.
Bugs and suggestions
Bug reports and suggestions are separate from moderation reports. They may be used to improve Altersive's operation and security.

Usernames and public content: moderation guidance
Insulting, degrading, discriminatory usernames or usernames intended to harass someone are not allowed. Sexually explicit content and sexual solicitation are not permitted in Altersive’s public spaces. Non-explicit romantic, artistic and RP content remains welcome.
This applies to handles, display names, villa and community project names, and public biographies, posts, Rants, stories, comments, ASK answers and public notes where available. A single word does not establish a violation: context matters. Use the Sexual content, Harassment, Hate speech or Inappropriate username report categories. Ambiguous cases receive human review. Private conversations are not systematically scanned.
To appeal a username refusal, use the moderation contact below and provide the proposed name and its context, without passwords or private content. A human review may confirm the refusal or lead to a filter correction. It does not grant an automatic bypass. Existing profiles receive an official warning allowing seven days by default from its first consultation to correct the issue. Receiving a notification or signing in does not count as consultation. An unread warning after 30 days is flagged for administrative review without an automatic sanction. Only administration can close it after review.
